This Michigan Power of Attorney for the Care of Children - One Parent document allows a single parent (called the "Principal" or "Grantor") of one or more children, who has full/sole legal custody of the child/children to appoint another person to act as his or her Attorney-in-Fact to care for the child/children on a temporary basis (i.e. for a limited time). This Michigan Power of Attorney for the Care of Children - One Parent form allows the Attorney-in-Fact to make decisions for the children in place of the parent, including health care, education and welfare decisions.
